Abstract

In this paper we have proposed a circular patch antenna for ultra wide band applications. It incorporate three layers namely ground, substrate and patch in which patch is embedded on the FR-4 substrate whose permittivity is 4.4 and thickness is 1.6 mm. The antenna structure has tremendous band response from the operating frequency range is 3.1-10.7 GHz with 3.9 GHz resonating frequency. The return loss at each frequency is S11 <; -20 dB.
