Abstract
This paper proposes a novel state assessment model for all-digital protection based on its Information Importance Degrees(IID). The methodology of monitoring information classification is presented to obtain IID, and the IID is used to measure the degrees that monitoring information influences on the function of the equipment. The model of Status scoring is also proposed, taking both numbers and importance of the equipment anomaly information into account to calculate its state scores. Several solutions to the all-digital protection condition assessment problem, including the IID approach, are then illustrated, highlighting the superiority of the IID algorithm. According to the outputs of the IID approach, system operators can obtain more accurate evaluation result than other algorithms. An experimental project based on the proposed approach has been applied in several substations, higher reliability and less maintenance workloads are provided comparing with the traditional modes.
