Abstract

Abstract This chapter focuses on the botanical characteristics, cultivation history, vegetative propagation, molecular genetics and genomics and micropropagation of various economically important Actinidia species. The success of some genetic manipulation techniques developed for the improvement of the various agronomic and quality traits of these Actinidia species is also discussed.
