Research and Practical Progress of Information Service Transformation in China

Abstract

This paper has gone through the researches and practical progresses of information service transformation in China in the way of documentation analysis. Based on the contents of information service environment, information service organization, information service mode and information service strategy etc. it has summarized the already got achievements and made further thinking. So, in this paper, the author pointed out that the general trend of modern information service transformation development is multifactor participants, more industrialized service, diversified modes and market-oriented operation. Nowadays information service transformation theory researches are falling behind the practical progress; and the information service agencies’ reform is also lack of plan. So, in future research, systematical information service transformation theory should be established so as to guide the information service practices.
