Advanced Joining Methods in Manufacturing in the 21st century: A Review

Abstract

Joining is a critical aspect of manufacturing because most fabricated parts require assembly; one such assembly technique is joining. Major advances have been recorded in manufacturing processes with improvements in technology every day. These advances have also rubbed off on joining techniques as more advanced methods of joining technology have been developed. This review studies the various advances in joining technology. Their advantages, challenges of using them, and possible solutions have also been discussed.
