Abstract

Approach of laser ablation offers considerable process control to fabricate the silicon nanofibers (SNF). Ambient air oxidation converts SNF at interacting layer in to SiO2 which holds insulating characteristics. Deposition of graphite nano particles on SNF observed to be effective in improving its electrical conductivity for applications such as sensing, capacitors and energy storage.
