Abstract

As a kind of clean energy, natural gas is widely used and has achieved great development. However, natural gas enterprises are facing some difficulties now, such as difficulty in payment, maintenance of pipeline network, safety of gas use, and distribution of natural gas consumption. This paper studies that the use of IoT technology to establish an ecosystem in the natural gas industry can effectively solve those problems. In this paper, the advantages brought by the ecosystem for the digital transformation of natural gas are introduced firstly. Then this paper introduces how to establish an ecological model of the natural gas industry. The tasks undertaken by relevant stakeholders in the construction of the ecosystem, the process of data collection by taking the pipeline pressure as an example, and some intelligent applications of the ecosystem are presented. The problems existing in the current ecosystem construction process and future research directions are given finally. The research results of this paper can be used not only for the construction of natural gas industry ecosystem, but also as a reference for other industries to establish ecosystems.
