Abstract
Multimode photonics have obtained enormous attention from researchers in the past decade, making mode converters essential for photonic integrated circuits. We, in this paper, are proposing arc bent waveguide-based, highly efficient, compact $(5.5\mu \mathrm{m})$, and reciprocal $\text{TE}_{0}-\text{TE}_{1}$ and $\text{TE}_{1}-\text{TE}_{0}$ mode converter with a conversion efficiency of 96.28% and 95.73%, respectively.
