Abstract

Review of more than 200 publications on numerical modelling in hydrogeology has been presented as a base for the presentation the progress and development of this widely used method, especially during the years 2004–2017. Three stages in the research methods of modelling has been noticed. The main trends in the field of modelling groundwater flow, the mass transport and pollutants migration, practical applications, research processes and improvement of the research method has been discussed.
