His medical and drug history were negative. His review of systems was unremarkable. Physical examination showed normal vital signs and blood oxygen saturation of 98% on room air. There were no crackles, wheezes and rhonchi on examination. Pulmonary function testing was normal. Any pathology was not detected on the patient’s chest radiograph. Chest computerized tomography and flexible bronchoscopy were performed to investigate the etiology of the hemoptysis.
