X-Men: Mystique Transformations

Abstract

For ''X-Men,'' Kleiser-Walczak artists developed a new 3D-morphing technique for transforming various live action characters into the evil metamorph Mystique. CG keyframe animation and procedural animation formed the basis of visual effects that were seamlessly integrated with Rebecca Romijn-Stamos' performance and Gordon Smith's practical make-up.
