Abstract
In 2014 Alessioporus was erected as a monotypic genus. Here we describe a new species from the eastern United States, Alessioporus rubriflavus, based on unique morphology and molecular data (ITS and LSU nrDNA genes). Ecology, geographical distribution and comparison to other closely allied taxa are discussed.
