Evolução da mancha urbana de Piripiri-PI: uso de imagens de satélites para análise espacial urbana

Abstract

This work presents a reflection on the result of the urban profile in which the city of Piripiri-PI has been configured in recent years through visual analysis of satellite images LANDSAT 5-TM and LANDSAT 8-OLI. The methodological procedures involved bibliographical, documentary and field research. As a result, it is observed that the city has as inducers of its urban expansion, housing complexes and popular subdivisions as a reflection of the national housing policies that have been in force in the last seven years, playing an important role in the socio-spatial configuration of the city.
