Current problems for electric cars

Abstract

Electric cars: the answer to today's noisy, fume-filled city streets if some improvements can be made to motors, controlgear and, particularly, batteries. The limitations of existing electric vehicles are pinpointed in the article, possible solutions are examined, and a new type of d.c. motor is described
