Abstract

To handle a complex decision problem, especially in management field, Saaty's AHP is widely used. But in practice, the premise of AHP is difficult to satisfy, so people have to use various complex methods to modify it before using it. Such a process enhances the difficulty and takes a long time to deal with the decision problem. "Small-column and large-row" arrangement method, which is abbreviated SCLR, is a new approach to decision-making. Compared to AHP, it is more convenient to be used, and under the same conditions, it may give more convincing result. This paper proposes to get a deeper insight into the effectiveness of SCLR, and tries to give the range of its effectiveness.
