A Comparative Evaluation of Various Solar Trackers to Harness Maximum Energy - A Brief Review

Abstract

The exigency for power is rising day-by-day so is the consumption of the non-renewable resources. To reduce the use of these non-renewable resources, alternative fuel sources like renewable sources are to be considered. Of all the available renewable sources, solar energy is relatively more abundant. To collect the energy from solar irradiation, solar panels are used. In order to harness maximum energy from the solar panels, tracking mechanisms are to be utilized to attain the maximum power point tracking condition. This paper provides a review of various technologies used in the solar trackers and even compares a few of them.
