GEOGRAPHICAL REFERENCING OF SPACE IMAGES USING ELECTRONIC MAPS

Abstract

A technology of highly precise coordinate processing of satellite images based on the automated identification of equivalent elements of a vector electronic map and an image of the Earth's surface is presented. A number of approaches are proposed that are designed to improve the reliability of image processing in the solution of specific problems.
