An approach for electrical loads calculation and selection of electrical equipment using well-known theoretical principles and methods for estimating the effect of higher harmonics on electrical equipment is proposed. At electric load calculation it's proposed to use the concept: power factor, displacement power factor and distortion power. Abstract
The disadvantages of the existing formalized methods of electrical loads calculation and selection of electrical equipment are considered.
