Abstract
A new single-stage single-phase transformer-less buck-boost inverter is presented and evaluated in this paper. The proposed inverter has a relatively simple structure, but it can provide the buck and boost capability within a single-stage operation. In addition, the proposed inverter achieves a common-ground between the DC input side and the load, which offers a zero-leakage current. By employing the characteristic of the switched-capacitor cell, the voltage stress of switching devices is also low. The operation of the proposed inverter is simulated in PSIM. Furthermore, a 400W laboratory prototype is performed to confirm the feasibility and emcacy of the proposed inverter.
