Abstract

Upgradation in imaging technology has facilitated advanced healthcare provisions in various fields of medicine. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one such ailment caused by the decaying of brain cells. For early detection, it is necessary to consider MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) of different sections of the brain. In our research, we analyse biomarkers like ventriculomegaly and white matter deterioration in AD brains in comparison to the cognitively normal (CN) brain using the Image Processing Toolbox in MATLAB.
