Abstract

We present the first comprehensive experimental investigation on laser ablation using a novel technology of dual-pumped fiber laser emitting in the CH stretching region of three common polymers. A rigorous comparison of the relevant parameters of the interaction for our compact fiber laser and a CO2 laser reveals the strong impact of the wavelength of irradiation on the process. The development of such laser materials processing can improve existing and allow innovative applications.
