Abstract

A 5G-based smart pole is an IoT-based streetlight pole that consists of streetlights as its hardware, IoT devices with different functions, and an intelligent network interface with 5G communications protocol. A 5G-based smart pole is usually stationed at the LAN environment and connects to WAN via 5G in the street to perform these applications. The 5G-based pole also collects IoT data dynamically and provides various services. However, without a suitable scheduling algorithm, accessing various built-in services from 5G Pole will be a difficult job. This article introduces the QoS 5QI method to meet these challenging requirements by programming an advanced network QoS framework on the 5G infrastructure.
