Abstract

The paper discusses the problem of video quality deterioration caused by watching low resolution videos on high resolution displays. The authors take into account three video codecs, i.e. H.264, H.265 and VP9. The tested video samples are encoded using different bitrates from 300 kbps to 6000 kbps and three spatial resolutions −360p, 480p and 720p.
