Abstract

Operations and evaluation results of a modified bridge power converter utilizing the concept of the partial resonant converter provided with ZVS (zero voltage switching) by voltage resonance and nonresonant PWM (pulsewidth-modulated) control are reported. The bridge converter showed very efficient and stable operations over a wide range of input voltages with a low switching loss and noise equivalent to or lower than resonant converters.<>
