Abstract
The interest of this paper is the analysis of the electromagnetic field radiated by lightning under a homogeneous soil (the conductivity of the finite soil) and in air, characterized by a finite conductivity. The calculation of the electromagnetic field radiated by the return arc phase of a downward lightning strike has been successfully performed.
