Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has attracted a lot of attention due to its huge application space. In a WSN, the routers are stationary and they are able to communicate with each other via the wireless mesh link, the sensors can move from place to place in the region of the network and deliver their data to the gateway through the routers, a gateway connects the WSN with other WSNs or with the internet. In order to meet the needs of managing the mobile nodes, also considering the features of resource limited and architecture distributed, we propose a mobility management solution which supported distributed resource allocation. In the mechanism, when the sensor moves from the coverage area of one router to another, it needs two routers cooperate together to complete the association procedure, then the sensor can acquire communication resources from the router that connected with at present. We set up a platform based on IEEE 802.15.4e draft standard to implement the mechanism, the experimental results shows that the scheme is easy to deploy in the real system and have a high level of efficiency and reliability.
