Abstract

This article is one of a growing number of case studies to be found on the Marconi ECT Web site. The ECT in Society case studies to be found there are freely available to schools and to the general public and we present a shortened version of one of them here. The Marconi ECT project is designed to improve the confidence of teachers in schools so that more pupils will become interested in pursuing electronics as a career. This case study was initially written by Martin Coleman who is based at the Technology Education Development Unit in Salford University.
