Abstract
Perovskite solar cell (PSC) is a type of solar cell in which the active material is formed using an organic-inorganic halide as absorbent layers of solar energy which then be converted into electrical energy. PSCs have shown rapid development over the past 10 years with an increase of efficiency up to 22.11%. Trap passivation is a method of adding passive layers to the active layer to improve PSC performance by minimizing the trap states presence in excited electrons between layers of PSC. This research analyzes the effect of passive layers concentration addition in the form of Tetra-ethyl Orthosilicate (TEOS) to compare to samples without the addition of TEOS, and to improve PSC performance. In this research, as many as 4 cells have been fabricated with TEOS concentration of 0% mol, 0.25 % mol, 0.3 % mol, and 0.35 % mol. The most optimal TEOS concentration values obtained in this experiment are 0.25% mol with an average VOC, ISC, efficiency and FF value of 1.23 V, 9.25 mA, 3.267% and 0.506 respectively.
