Abstract

The arrival and future iterations of artificial intelligence and machine learning have been hot topics for some time now, but perhaps less well known is the cadre of academics and industry practitioners that sits behind the machines, researching and experimenting with how to model, govern, and engage true human behavior within these systems. This field, known as computational intelligence, is composed of three main areas: fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, and neural networks.
