Abstract

Based on Halliday's concept and reclassifications of grammatical metaphor, and the theory of reading processes, this paper explores the cognition of grammatical metaphor and its application in EFL reading in China. It aims at testifying the influence of cognition of grammatical metaphor on EFL reading comprehension, and the research can help improve natural language processing from the perspective of grammatical metaphor.
