Abstract

Optical fiber communication provides a large bandwidth with relatively small losses, so it becomes a solution to meet current communication needs. An application example of fiber optic networks is Fiber To The Home (FTTH), a fiber-optic network that directly connects to home subscribers. In this research, a prototype of an FO trainer (optical source and optical detector) was designed. An Arduino Nano hardware platform has been selected for implementation of FO trainer. The testing results of FO trainer has 1.04% error compared to the real data link FTTH and simulation results.
