Abstract

Clostridium perfringens, a gram-positive anaerobic rod spore forming bacteria, spores are ubiquitous in unhygienic farm environment including soil, dust, water, sewage, sediments and vegetation [1-2]. Animals are readily exposed to Cl. perfringens in farm and grazing environment; from where they enter the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and other body tissues and rapidly proliferate and cause zoonotic diseases.
