Interpretation of initial geophysical data and analysis of morphological features of potential fields using modern computer technology specified the fault-block tectonics of the territory, helped analyze the relation of the fault network and hydrocarbon fields. Interpretation of geophysical data as well as the results obtained proved the geological efficiency of these approaches. Hydrocarbon deposits are confined to the fault zones of the Terek-Caspian trough. Abstract

The analysis is based on the use of the “Coscad 3D” software technology including methods of statistical and spectral analysis of geophysical information, automatic tracing of anomaly axes and decomposition of fields into local and regional components.
