Simulation of real-time embedded systems

Abstract

This paper proposes an architecture simulator as an important addition to CASE tools, to be used during various design stages of real-time embedded systems. The architecture simulator is intended for simulating the behavior of the system based on partial information available at the beginning of the design process. The simulator in conjunction with a CASE tool can minimize the damage caused by improper design decisions made at the early stages of the design.
