Research on the Rural Revitalization Strategy from the Perspective of Sino-US Trade War

Abstract

The emergence of the Sino-US trade war not only means that the game between China and the United States has gradually surfaced but signifies a new stage where China faces both internal problems and external troubles. Against such a severe backdrop where China is confronted with both a slowdown in economic growth and the trade war against US, people has begun to consider and find new growth points in China’s economy. Through in-depth study of and reflection on Sino-US relations and China’s economic crisis, this paper proposes a new perspective on economic growth that is based on the rural revitalization strategy and centered around developing rural potential. By analyzing the important economic status of the rural economy throughout Chinese history as well as its crucial role in China’s economic development today, this paper argues that from the perspective of Sino-US trade war, rural development will underpin China’s further economic growth. Therefore, it is believed that the rural revitalization strategy, being necessary and irreplaceable, will play a decisive role.
