Influence of information technology on military radar systems

Abstract

The paper discusses influence of information technology (IT) on military radar systems and how this impacts upon conducting military operations. Applications of new technologies in three basic areas of military radar systems are considered: surveillance and automatic target recognition systems; tracking systems and data and signal processing. Some possible uses of radar data are shown along with how this will improve the efficacy of planning, coordinating, directing and controlling of military actions.
