Abstract
The interactive graphics editor, an experimental, PHIGS-based display editor, is described. Written in C and running in a MicroVAX II/Adage 3000 display system, the interactive graphics editor is intended to support the rapid prototyping of 2-D/3-D cockpit display formats, the preview of their animation, and the automatic generation of the software that animates them in real time. Certain innovations which have resulted from this research work are described, and the development of a typical cockpit display format is described. Recommendations for future enhancements and applications of this tool are given.<>
