Abstract

The line shape of magnetic resonance (MR) signals in 4He magnetometer is measured and appears to be asymmetric when the light field is detuned. It is thought be to caused by inhomogeneous light-shift due to the uneven light intensity distribution over the cell volume. Theory is presented to explain this phenomenon.
