Abstract

In this work, we analyze the characteristics of the multi-layer ARROW waveguides. The method used is the transfer matrix method. The dependence of the effective index and the attenuation on the waveguide parameters such as number of cladding, contrast of cladding indices, width of the core, and the wavelength has been investigated.
