Anonymisation services for IP multicast

Abstract

The importance of IP multicast grows with the number of new Internet services like video on demand, pay per view or business conferencing. Security considerations in group communication is a research topic for several years now and a number of relevant schemes and algorithms have been published. This paper focuses on the topic of anonymity in a multicast environment and starts with a fundamental overview. It then introduces a framework for providing both sender and receiver anonymity and presents selected details of a performance analysis.
