Abstract

This work examines the thermo-electro-magnetic convection effect in ferrofluid cooling in presence of alternating electric and magnetic fields. We develop a multiphysics field model for electrically conductive ferrofluid transport and heating calculations under outer electromagnetic and thermal field sources. The finite element method is used for 3D electromagnetic-fluid dynamics-thermal model of high reluctance circular coil. Modeled ferrofluid convection is influenced by magnetic, electric, thermal and gravity gradients.
