Abstract
Efficient design methods of hunting-free framing codes are investigated as extensions of previous results based on sliding header schemes. First, the principles of multipled block codes (MBCs) are overviewed to show their capacities for realizing hunting-free refraining. Then a sliding header method that considerably simplify the design of hunting-free framers is overviewed. Finally, the above design methods are applied to generalized version of hunting-free codes to investigate a periodical mark forcing scheme which can drastically simplify design procedure.
