Abstract
We demonstrate the building blocks for a photonic dot-product engine in 45nm SOI CMOS technology. To calculate the dot-product, two microrings and a balanced photodetector are employed. In parallel, two DACs drive the rings at resonance while a TIA converts the output photocurrent into voltage.
