Abstract

The professional kitchen is hectic and crowded, and many tasks need to be accomplished in a short time. Such environment could benefit from connecting and integrating different appliances to better coordinate the preparation and preservation processes. Yet, professional kitchens have received only limited attention from IT researchers and no comprehensive study has yet addressed the integration of professional appliances.
