Abstract

The problem of joint time-frequency representation (TFR) of multicomponent non-stationary signals is considered. We introduce a new technique of masking cross-terms in the Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) of multicomponent non-stationary signals. Ideal concentration of the WVD is achieved at the same time cross-terms are removed for the considered type of signals. Time and frequency support information of the signal is used to achieve this goal.
