O uso da literatura como fonte histórica: uma análise da obra Malhadinha de José Expedito Rêgo

Abstract

This research intends to analyze the use of literature as a source for history, through the literary work Malhadinha by the writer José Expedito Rêgo. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to follow the indications of the methodological renovations of New History and to study the fictionality of History and the historicity of Literature. The sources used in this research were: the novel Malhadinha, (1990) by José Expedito. The course of this monograph follows from the approaches of the following theoretical framework: Antônio Celso Ferreira (2012) and Sandra Jatahy (2003), Teresinha Queiroz (2006) and Durval Muniz (2007). The result of the analyzes reveals that throughout the history of humanity constant social, cultural, political and economic transformations can be observed that characterize the way of life of times and that also determines people's behavior and way of relating.
