Abstract

This article memorializes Russell ("Russ") Miller Church (1930-2021), the preeminent leader in the field of timing and time perception where he brought his special talents to bear in solving the most important problems in the field. He spent his 63-year career in experimental psychology at Brown University where he was appointed to the distinguished position of Edgard L. Marston Professor.
