The antenna which has a dimension of 51mm×48mm, is composed of rectangular radiating patch fed with microstrip feed line and rectangular ground plane. The ultra wide band from 1.6 GHz to 11.6 GHz frequency range has been obtained and by implementing a circular split ring resonator in the ground surface frequency band notched characteristics has been achieved at WLAN application band.
