Abstract

The communication subsystem is one of the systems from the digital computer architecture project. This subsystem is in charge of creating the data link between a Motorola Xoom tablet and three sensor subsystems. The sensor subsystems will be sending data wirelessly to the communication subsystem using Zigbee technology. This information will then be translated from the Zigbee protocol to Bluetooth protocol and sent to the Xoom tablet to be displayed using an Android application created by the display subsystem. The following report is an introduction to the design approach that will be taken to create the system to perform these tasks.
