Abstract

This paper discusses the features of multi-ring electrodes tuning and analyses the the difference in tuning ability with electrodes located in inner or outer ring. And then the relationship between multi-ring electrodes allocation and tuning ability is derived. Using the derived theory, a electrode allocation suggestion will be given in design requirements for tuning ability. The simulation results of tuning coincides with the theoretical results, which indicates the feasibility of the theory. This theory applies to not only honeycomb-like resonator gyroscopes but also other kinds of gyroscopes with the same electrodes allocation. (Abstract)
